Addiction Medicine Physician (200-1869)

The new 90‑day bed‑based service will be located in Parksville and support 19 beds as part of a voluntary action‑based recovery model of care. Physicians can work a flexible schedule to fulfill this contract.

All patients will be connected with an interdisciplinary care team that will be located on site. Successful applicant will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning specific to the management of substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and medical conditions. They will initiate and maintain opioid agonist treatment for clients with opioid use disorder and provide medication options for those with alcohol use disorder as well as provide medication options for polysubstance use disorder including stimulants. They will review diagnostic tests, document interactions and communicate with other care providers and participate in the evaluation of the service.
