Job Description
Overview To verify, process, correct and collect billings of assigned accounts for hospital services.
Responsibilities
To verify, process and correct charges for services provided by the hospital to patients and other customers.
To send and submit billings for charges to patients, other hospital customers and various guarantors including OHIP, WSIB, insurance companies, other provinces, federal agencies, other countries, etc.
To collect delinquent and unpaid accounts in a timely manner.
To answer inquiries from patients, guarantors and others regarding any charges for hospital services.
To assist with daily balancing of cash receipts and bank deposits.
To assist with other tasks within the Business Office as required.
Position Requirements
Minimum college diploma in accounting or equivalent.
Must demonstrate good skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
